 Directions for all Acta Medical IV sets.

Use Aseptic Technique

1. ​Open package and remove set.
2. Close clamp on set.
3. ​Remove end cap on spike and insert into solution container.
4. If spiking rigid container with a vented spike, open vent filter door.
5. Squeeze drip chamber to approximately 1/2 full. (if using set with drip chamber).
6. Remove end cap and attach male luer of primed set to desired venous access device.
7. Adjust flow with regulating clamp.

Directions for all Acta Medical Pharmacy Transfer Tubing.

1. Remove set from unopened undamaged package.
2. Close clamp.
3. ​Remove spike or luer cover and connect to the source container.
4. Load set per pump manufacturer instructions.
5. Unclamp.
6. Prime. 
7. Use.
8. Replace per institutional protocols.
